Hickory Farms Partners with Lean Logistics

Over the past two years Hickory Farms has collapsed its distribution network, consolidating inventory in one national warehouse and centralizing control of both inbound and outbound transportation. To enable this change and to manage its re-tooled transportation network, Hickory Farms partnered with Lean Logistics.

“When we collapsed all our warehouses, we started using cross-dock operations across the country, so transportation became extremely important to us,” says Ty Hanline, director of logistics at Hickory Farms. “We needed a partner who could help us connect all the dots.”

Hickory Farms selected Lean Logistics’ TMS solution because “it is very innovative and collaborative and its software-as-a-service model didn’t require a lot of capital,” Hanline says, “We basically aligned our entire supply chain using this piece and it has been one of our biggest successes.”
