Reuben Slone has joined Walgreens as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management. Reporting to President of Community Management, Mark Wagner, Slone will be responsible for distribution, transportation, systems integration and engineering, Lean and Six Sigma supply chain initiatives and community outreach.

“Reuben has deep experience in leading supply chain operations, improving service and efficiency and driving innovation in the management of inventory from distribution centers to the stores,” said Wagner. “He is a great addition to Walgreens leadership team, and we are looking forward to his insights and perspective as we continue to focus on making our distribution system more effective for both our team members and customers.”

Are GMail Problems Related to Viacom's Lawsuit?

Are you having any problems with Gmail lately? For the last two days, I haven’t been able to access the email in my GMail account for part of the afternoon, due to “server errors”. It is an interesting development in light of the problems beginning right after Viacom announced they were suing Google for copyright infringement.

Keep your eyes on the news. Headlines may soon be reading “Google sues Viacom for Cyber Attack”. That, of course, is pure speculation on my part, but my email problems do make me wonder what’s going on with my mail. Come on Google and Viacom, play nice. I need my email!
