Reuben Slone has joined Walgreens as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management. Reporting to President of Community Management, Mark Wagner, Slone will be responsible for distribution, transportation, systems integration and engineering, Lean and Six Sigma supply chain initiatives and community outreach.

“Reuben has deep experience in leading supply chain operations, improving service and efficiency and driving innovation in the management of inventory from distribution centers to the stores,” said Wagner. “He is a great addition to Walgreens leadership team, and we are looking forward to his insights and perspective as we continue to focus on making our distribution system more effective for both our team members and customers.”

Baskin Robbins: May 2nd Scoop Night Honors Fallen Firefighters

On Wednesday, May 2nd, you can get a cone of Baskin-Robbins ice cream for only 31 cents between 5 and 10 pm!   Baskin-Robbins is offering its customers its ice cream at nearly a give-away price as their way of showing support to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. But, their generosity doesn’t end there. They’re also donating $100,000 to help the foundation with its efforts to help the families of fallen firefighters, educate the public about fire safety, and provide training to save more fire fighters’ lives!
