Companies Soliciting Honest Employees. A Sign of the Times.
Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 10:00AM I am always amazed at the email solicitations that I receive about jobs. Take this morning, for instance, I received an email for a job that is described as …. well, actually they never really told me.
- Are you looking for a job? Sure, I’m a business blog developer. Let’s talk.
- No need to invest money or buy products in order to work with us. That’s good. Why would I want to pay someone to hire me?
- From our side, we would like to offer you an easy work at home. Ok. That works for me.
- It guarantees the additional supplement to your family budget; at the same time, you will not have to spend any money to the work. A supplement to my family budget? Wonder if it’s enough to pay my cell phone bill? I don’t have to spend any money to work for you. (Why am I having deja vu?)
- All you will have to do is sign the employment agreement. Really? Sounds great, where do I sign? I don’t think so.
- From our part, we guarantee the prompt delivery of your salary to you! As soon as you have my bank account information, right?
- Please, note: this is work-from-home position for adult honest people only. Got it. I won’t get a corner office. I’m honest too. So far so good. I qualify!
- We do require that you have a computer with Internet connection and are familiar with basic Internet/e-mail functions. Adult honest people only! Yes, I have access to a computer, email, and the internet. Honest!
- We are waiting for your resume. If you’ve got anything else to do today, don’t waste your opportunities. Life is short, they say. Seize the day!
The email did not include any company information. No contact name. No phone number. No business address. Just an email address that I’m supposed to send my resume to. And being the honest person that I am, I thought I’d take a look to see if they were honest too. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any info that could help me on their site.
So, I think I’m going to have to pass on the job. Although, the no investment required and supplement to my income would be nice. And there’s an old saying that keeps circling my brain “All that Glitters is Not Gold”. And if you’re being solicited by companies through email, phone, or otherwise be sure you’re dealing with HONEST people. Better yet, let a recruiter help you. We have a direct relationship with real companies! We have a real business, a real street address, a real phone number, and real people reading their actual email addresses!
What kind of company would try to solicit a new employee by sending them an email like the one I received? Here’s what I found when I did a Google search for them. :) Click on the thumbnail below to see a larger image. I thought I’d share the opportunity with you, just in case you think it might be something that interests you. I’m kidding, of course! When you’re looking for a great career opportunity, don’t take chances. Recruiting companies like The SearchLogix Group (yes, that’s us!) only deal with companies they know and trust.
If you’ve never used an executive recruiting service before, why not call us, email a member of our team, or stop by our office at The SearchLogix Group, 2950 Cherokee St. Bldg 900, Kennesaw, GA 30144. And like my emailer, we won’t charge you a dime to accept a position with one of our client companies either! Oh yes, the company benefits are much better than theirs too! But, we have to agree with the emailer on one thing….. sending us your resume will help us find you a great new job opportunity! Honest! :)
Gina O'Leary, General Manager
Just noticed that the title to my email says its from the Monster job site. I highly doubt that. The title also says $3000 USD. Think that’s an annual salary, a monthly salary, or a weekly salary? More things about this job offer that make go hmmm….
