Reuben Slone has joined Walgreens as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management. Reporting to President of Community Management, Mark Wagner, Slone will be responsible for distribution, transportation, systems integration and engineering, Lean and Six Sigma supply chain initiatives and community outreach.

“Reuben has deep experience in leading supply chain operations, improving service and efficiency and driving innovation in the management of inventory from distribution centers to the stores,” said Wagner. “He is a great addition to Walgreens leadership team, and we are looking forward to his insights and perspective as we continue to focus on making our distribution system more effective for both our team members and customers.”

How to get a great job interview without getting the job

If you’re interested in the job, make it clear to the person interviewing you by doing your homework about the company before the interview. If you’re not really interested in the job, you should make that clear to your interviewer too. Every job is not the right job for every person. Spend your time and energy pursuing the kind of work you would enjoy doing!

Sometimes you get pressured into a job interview even if you might not be very interested. You might do well during the interview, except when it comes to the question "why would you want to join us?"
