Reuben Slone has joined Walgreens as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management. Reporting to President of Community Management, Mark Wagner, Slone will be responsible for distribution, transportation, systems integration and engineering, Lean and Six Sigma supply chain initiatives and community outreach.

“Reuben has deep experience in leading supply chain operations, improving service and efficiency and driving innovation in the management of inventory from distribution centers to the stores,” said Wagner. “He is a great addition to Walgreens leadership team, and we are looking forward to his insights and perspective as we continue to focus on making our distribution system more effective for both our team members and customers.”

Is Being a Good Hugger a Desirable Management Trait?

Want to give your company an edge over your competitor? Hire a hugger. Of course, I’m speaking figuratively. The point I am trying to make has to do with the star of this video. I think he displays characteristics that would be an asset to any management team.

He is an innovative thinker. He has superior people skills. He is persistent. He can break through communication barriers. He can convince people to adopt his ideas. He is a positive influence on those around him. He can overcome obstacles. His enthusiasm is contagious!
