Monsters get caught with hands in the Cookie Jar
Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 10:59PM A former Monster executive pleaded guilty to securities fraud, according a report by USA Today. Myron Olesnyckyj, general counsel and other former Monster executives were charged with backdating stock-option grants worth millions of dollars by the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Reuters reported that Olesnyckyj told U.S. District Judge Laura Swain in N.Y. that he made nearly $400,000 from the fraud scheme. He also agreed to forfeit the money. Olyesnyckyj hails from New Providence, N.J. and is 45 years old. If he receives the proposed penalty for his crime, he will pay out millions of dollars in fines. He will also be 70 years old if the court decides to give him the maximum 25 year sentence.
I wonder if they ever cheated in college?
