Need Interview Practice? New Online Service
Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 11:49AM The interview date and time have been set, but are you fully prepared to land your dream job? Want to hone your interview skills? You might want to take a look at an online service that I ran across on the net today. The service is called Interview True. I haven’t tried their service myself (I don’t have a webcam, which is required to use their service), so I’d be interested to hear what you think of them if you decide to try them out. Just leave me a comment by clicking on the comments link under this posting. I’ll be forever grateful. Well, not forever grateful, but I’ll be grateful. :)
How does it work? (according to their site)
You select the type of job interview you want to practice. The software will load the interviewer and he or she will appear on your computer screen and begin to ask you real interview questions. You must respond, just as you would in a real interview. You can repeat each question as often as you like, and you can even see and hear examples of great answers. The InterviewTrue system even allows you to retry your answers if you make a mistake and need to start over.
Here’s a humorous look at an interview on their site
Minimum system requirements for InterviewTrue to work are a computer that has Windows XP, at least 256 MB of RAM, at least 1.5 GHz of processor speed, Microsoft.Net Framework 2.0, WDM-compatible audio/video capture device (a Webcam with a microphone), Windows Media Player 9 or better, and an internet connection. Almost all brand name computers built in the last 5 years meet these minimum requirements.

What happens after you complete your interview?
Interview True says you can email it to anyone (friends, parents, professors, ex-bosses, etc) to ask their opinion of your performance.
