Separating truth from fiction in today's job market

If Pat Robertson can move 2000 pounds with his legs, then anything is possible, or is it? Finding a great job in today’s job market may not be not as easy as Washington would have us think. According to Morgan Stanley “American’s once mighty job machine is struggling as never before. The combination of subpar job creation and real wage stagnation puts extraordinary pressure on the income-generating capacity of the world’s most aggressive consumer. Of course you would never know that from the spin that followed the release of the latest labor market surveys of the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. From Washington to Wall Street, the verdict was nearly unanimous - all is fine on the US. Nothing could be further from the truth.”

Job hunters are more frustrated than ever as employers act like a kid in a toy store with their first $20 bill. They like alot of what they see but they want as much as they can get for their money and there is alot to choose from.  Naturally, employers want the best person they can get that fits within their budget. It’s an employers market with the supply of job seekers far exceeding the amount of available job openings. With a highly competitive job market, today’s job hunter needs an advantage in landing a great position.

Job recruiters can give you an advantage over your competitors. They can help your shine up your resume, teach you the do’s and don’t’s of interviewing tips,  and link you to their industry connections. Most people have a misconception that job recruiters will cost them money. The truth is that it is more often the hiring companies that pay the recruiting fee not the job hunter.  If you’d like to find out more about what Search Logix Group can offer you, email us your questions or send us your resume. We have the connections you need to find you a great new executive level logistics job.
