Reuben Slone has joined Walgreens as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management. Reporting to President of Community Management, Mark Wagner, Slone will be responsible for distribution, transportation, systems integration and engineering, Lean and Six Sigma supply chain initiatives and community outreach.

“Reuben has deep experience in leading supply chain operations, improving service and efficiency and driving innovation in the management of inventory from distribution centers to the stores,” said Wagner. “He is a great addition to Walgreens leadership team, and we are looking forward to his insights and perspective as we continue to focus on making our distribution system more effective for both our team members and customers.”

Time is Running Out for Brett Stevens

With just days before the big race, Brett Stevens still has some ground to cover if he is going to meet his goal of raising $5,000 for the Prostate Foundation. Will he make his goal a reality by October 7th? He is still short of his goal and there isn’t much time left! He’s still got a few hundred dollars to raise.
