Reuben Slone has joined Walgreens as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management. Reporting to President of Community Management, Mark Wagner, Slone will be responsible for distribution, transportation, systems integration and engineering, Lean and Six Sigma supply chain initiatives and community outreach.

“Reuben has deep experience in leading supply chain operations, improving service and efficiency and driving innovation in the management of inventory from distribution centers to the stores,” said Wagner. “He is a great addition to Walgreens leadership team, and we are looking forward to his insights and perspective as we continue to focus on making our distribution system more effective for both our team members and customers.”

Top 50 Recruiting Blog List: What a Nice Surprise

blogeye.jpgThe Daily Recruiter made the top 50 list of the best recruiting blogs on the net and we’re excited about that! The number of blogs being published on the net every second of every day make it easy for a blog to get lost on the information highway. So, when I saw that someone noticed that we’re still here and still welcoming anyone to stop in and spend some blog time with us, I was… well ecstatic! You can’t see me from there, but trust me I’m still smiling!

Others on the top 50 list included some old friends like Jim Stroud of Microsoft, the Monster blog, Recruiting Animal, and the Jobster blog along with so many other great recruiting blogs on the net. Well, they’re not actually old friends, but they seem like very nice people. :) The Daily Recruiter is honored to be considered a member of such an outstanding group of blogging recruiters!
