Toyota Prius Stumps Georgia's Emissions Testing System
Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 12:44PM Paying $10 to $25 for an emission’s test with a 2004 Toyota Prius in Georgia will buy you a failed emissions testing status. Prices for inspections vary by the testing station. Hybrid vehicles like the Prius that produce up to 90 percent fewer tailpipe pollutants than standard non-hybrid vehicles are apparently too energy efficient for their auto emissions testing system!
If you’re the owner of a 2004 Toyota Prius, you may be entitled to an exemption waiver. Find out about Georgia’s emissions testing program at Georgia’s Clean Air Force website.
Aren’t you glad you bought an energy efficient vehicle? Jeeeesh.

I don't have a Prius, but my sister just got a new Camry hybrid. I'm going to mention your solution to her, just in case she runs in to a problem in MA! Thanks!
