Reuben Slone has joined Walgreens as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management. Reporting to President of Community Management, Mark Wagner, Slone will be responsible for distribution, transportation, systems integration and engineering, Lean and Six Sigma supply chain initiatives and community outreach.

“Reuben has deep experience in leading supply chain operations, improving service and efficiency and driving innovation in the management of inventory from distribution centers to the stores,” said Wagner. “He is a great addition to Walgreens leadership team, and we are looking forward to his insights and perspective as we continue to focus on making our distribution system more effective for both our team members and customers.”

YouTube and Google - Deal or No Deal?

In an effort to enhance the services that Google, the search engine giant, offers to its customers it has reportedly offered to buy YouTube for $1.6 billion dollars. Word is expected to be released soon according to Fox News; possibly later on today. YouTube, if you’re listening….. I say “deal”! :)
